Hey, everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. We've had a little bit of a crazy day, and I was not able to come on here this morning. We went to a conference, we have another conference tomorrow, it was kind of a last minute thing, and it was super great. You know how sometimes your day doesn't go how you planned it, but you get to choose your attitude. My day was incredible, we learned a ton and I can't wait to share tons of it with you. Do you ever learn something, and then you feel like you have to process it. I need to process and learn. Maybe you followed me here on the Keto Mom page for a while, maybe you listen to podcasts or, maybe you're working on learning how to do this lifestyle. Sometimes your brain can get overwhelmed and you would have to process this, and then you would need to make a plan. You would need to write it down.
So I learned a ton today in the conference and tomorrow that I'm excited to share with you. And it's all on mindset. So if you are just tuning in, where are you tuning in from? I'm tuning in from the baseball field in Minnesota.
I hope your Monday was incredible. And if it was a little challenging, how did you handle your attitude. If you're sitting there right now saying it didn't go well, just put a smile on your face and be thankful that you're alive...
We're going to be diving into a new book on August 1st. It's called "Winning the war in your Mind" by Craig Groeschel, and I wanted to read something to you because I am a reader, and I love self development. Has anybody here done any type of learning or understanding, "The Five Pillars of your Life? And what I mean by this is, think of your life as like you've got five spokes, like it's a tire. If you have one of the tires, or the spokes that's flat or broken, the tire won't work as effectively. So here on the page, I love to give you recipes, tell you how to eat, encourage you to work out and try to motivate you.
But motivation is temporary, Inspiration lasts forever and the inspiration has to come within you.
So how are you inspired every day? Are you reading, are you listening to podcasts?... By the way we have four daughters and we're super blessed. If you follow us on our stories, you get to see them a lot. So anyways, today, we talked about the five pillars in your life... We have Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually, Physically and Financially. And if you don't have all of those being worked on... Say for example you're here because you need to lose some fat, emotionally you are great, financially you're doing incredible, but physically you're not. So, with all of these five spokes, the point is to be able to get yourself in a good place to where all of them are in a healthy spot. I can give you all of the tools to eat better, to help you on your lifestyle.
But the number one thing and my goal is to help you get your mindset right, to be mindful and to be able to handle your emotions. I can help you in all of these areas mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially.
Because food is important, if you want fat loss, you're going to have to control your food. You're going to have to have discipline.
Do you want to know what differentiates somebody from being Good to Great. Somebody that's good at something and somebody is great at something. The man that was speaking said, it's just somebody being good consistently. That's it, somebody that's either good or great. You might look at somebody and say they're great at this. No, they have just been really good, consistently, for a really long time. Really good, consistently.
The key is Consistency and Action. When you learn something, you have to put it into play.
If you learn how to eat better, if I say drop the soda and drink some water. You were told to drink water, and now it's up to you if you're going to do it. If I say, try intermittent fasting for breakfast or eat some bacon, eggs or sausage like a protein and a fat. You learn something, now it's your choice to take action. Could you take the buns off your burgers, take the croutons off your salad. Get rid of the pasta, bread and potatoes and eat more proteins and veggies and salads. You learn something, but I can't force feed you. You have to make the decision and do it. I don't want to motivate you, but I want to inspire you. And how do you inspire somebody... There are thousands of people on this journey, the journey to their health. Do you want to want to know the ones that make it to a lifestyle? They are the ones that win, that keep going and the ones that don't turn back. They are the ones that work on the mindset... Who are you watching, what are you reading? Who are you listening to, who are the people that are in your sphere of influence and who are your friends?
Because you are like the top five people that you're around. You might have to change your environment, the conversations you're having. You might have to say goodbye to a friend. I know that sounds harsh, it's not forever.
But if you've got people in your sphere of influence that are dragging you down, shoving doughnuts in your face, constantly pulling you into environments that are not growing you, then maybe you need to take a step back and say... I want to be this way, I have a "why", and I have a vision. Who in my sphere of influence is already doing that, I want to go be with them. I want to learn from them. I'm going to ask them questions and I'm going to ask them to mentor me or hold me accountable...
You cannot do this on your own, I'm here to help you. If you message me I will message you back. If you ask me questions, I'm going to give you an answer. It's going to be up to you to make the decision of the food you put in your mouth, and the water that you drink. If you're going to hit the snooze button, or if you're going to go work out.
My challenge to you is to think about this tonight... Who influences you? What are the words that you're speaking? Are you believing positively over your life, your finances, your relationships, and your health? Or is it a constant "I have to"... No, "You get to". I feel sometimes I'm a broken record, but I feel like I have to be, because that's what got our family to where we are today.
We surrounded ourselves with great people. We have incredible mentors, we read books instead of watching TV. We watch our words. I'll call on my kids, and say truth or trash. We don't speak like that, that's disrespectful. You don't speak over yourself like that, that's trash. Point it out, I did it to a man today, he was sitting at our table. He's like "I'm just a", and so I said "Oh no, you are not "just a", but you are a construction worker. You're just a mom, or whatever it is you are, own it. You are where you are today for a reason. If you don't want to be there, then you'll have to take different steps to where you want to go. But you can do it, one day at a time, one book at a time, one page at a time. Follow one person that inspires you. The key is to take action over and over again, consistently. That is what gets you from good to great, Consistent Action. So I was going to actually read something to you... "The Last Arrow" by Erwin Raphael McManus, is one of my all time favorite books. Alright, here's what I want to read to you...
"There are no trial runs in life. In this sense, life does not allow us a do over. Don't wait for the perfect time. There's no perfect time for anything". You have to do it...
And the last thing I was going to read to you is... "If we are not careful, our future will simply be an extension of our past"... Are you happy with where you're coming from, or are you happy with your past? I'm not saying that other people in the environment that you grew up in was right. I don't want you to sit there and blame, but I want you to think for a second...
If you don't take ownership of your life, you will get your past over and over again. It's not going to change.
You're going to have to get uncomfortable. You're going to have to ask for coaching. You're going to have to read a book, find a mentor, listen to a podcast, turn off that TV, stop listening to the news. Get some new friends, if they're not motivating or inspiring you. Go for a walk, do something to better your life. You can do it, you're worthy of it. Some of you just need to hear you are worthy. You are created for greatness. You have talents and you have a gift that some somebody needs. Somebody needs to hear from you.
But if you don't do what you're called to do, and you don't use your gifts and talents, someday you're going to meet your maker and he's going to ask you these questions... "What did you do with the gifts and talents that I gave you? Did you sit at home, were you afraid? Why didn't you take care of your body, you knew what to do?"...
You don't have to learn everything on how to eat better, but drop some of the sugar. Drink more water, go for a walk. Find a friend that wants to do it with you. I love reading. I love inspiring people. I love to eat healthy and it wasn't overnight.
Actually, I hate working out and now I love it. It was not overnight. Sometimes I don't feel like doing it, and there's days that I love it. We all go through that, but it doesn't mean you have to quit or not do something... So I hope it helped whoever needed to hear it. I believe in you and I'm here to help you. Tune into the page every single day. I'm always here to answer your questions. Tomorrow, if I don't come on in the morning, I think we have to leave at seven o'clock in the morning, so maybe I'll do it at six thirty. I appreciate you. Always reach out with questions. I love this page. I love all the followers. I think you are amazing.
I hope you have a great night and we'll talk to you soon.
