Good morning! How are you doing? Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. It is storming where I'm at, but where are you tuning in from and how is the weather? We have a lot of rain, but it is always a great day. So as you're tuning in, I've got two questions for you. But first of all, if you're brand new, post new in the comments. Every morning we are going through a book or through a thought, something to help get your mindset right. If you just want tips and tricks and ideas for the Keto lifestyle, tune into the page, all day long. Check out my stories, we are here to help guide you and give you some do's and don'ts, and some recipes.
But I truly believe the number one thing is if your mindset is not on track, then you're going to be in this hamster wheel of life.
You're going to be stuck on the hamster wheel of life. You might feel great, you might take some action, you might reach a goal. But if your mindset isn't right, you could stop your goal, get frustrated and you could turn to emotions. You can react versus respond and then just gain it all back and just go in this cycle, which I hear over and over again. So we started reading and sharing books on here... I give you a book and I'm doing lives.
My hope is that you one, read the book with me and follow along or two, just follow along. I had this thought today, and our CEO has said this to many people. He said you can read some incredible books... So by the way, we've gone through some incredible books. We've gone through The Miracle Morning, if you don't have it, I recommend you get it. I'm going to read something to you as a reminder... We've also gone through "Rain or Shine", "The Traveler's Gift", "Atomic Habits", and we're going to start "Winning the War in your Mind" by Craig Groeschel by August 1st. If you are just reading, to read, but you're not putting action behind what you're reading. It's not going to work. Same thing for your diet, I love to say a lifestyle.
If you are watching me, or anybody else, you're following along, and you're gathering all of this knowledge and wisdom, but you're not putting it into action. It's not going to work and I can't force you.
Nobody can force you to get up early and to make the best choice, that's ultimately up to you. It's a decision... I got this cool little bracelet yesterday, we went to a conference, it was incredible.
It says "Action Brings Clarity"... And in fact, I would say "Don't mess up good for perfect and take action".
What are you wanting to take action on? Have you been waiting for the perfect time or the perfect groceries, the perfect season? Stop it. The point of reading is to take what you're learning and to put it into your mind. To meditate on it, to learn it, and to have these books in front of you. I've got books all over our house, when you have a bad day, or you have a moment to sit down and remind yourself and then put it into play. So I wanted to remind you, for those of you who read the book with me and followed along, did you implement anything in the Miracle Morning?
I'm going to share something with you, real quick, he says "The reality is that, if you don't change now"... Not on the first of the month, not at the beginning of the year, not when it's convenient for you because most of you want better.
"If you don't change now, our life won't change. If you don't get better, our life won't get better. And if you don't consistently invest time into yourself improvement, our life will not improve. Yet most of us wake up every day and stay the same"...
So for those of you who read the book, did you do any of these miracle mornings right here. So the book is about owning your morning, owning your day or just doing something to better yourself. So whether you're sitting in silence, doing affirmations, visualization, working out, reading, journaling. Whether it's six minutes or sixty minutes, to own your morning. We went through a lot of books, my challenge to you is if you feel like you have to take it slower, really read the book and put it into action. And you don't move on to the next chapter till you put into action. So I just wanted to come on here and encourage you.
There's no perfect time, and I want you to do something today. So all of you are already awake. I can't say don't hit the snooze button, but I think I heard it explained yesterday. Each choice that you make, is is within a three foot radius of your life...
You've got a choice, whether you're going to go to the gym by taking that next step, or the food that you grab, because your next step is approximately three feet. All of your choices are within those three feet... When I heard that, I felt it was so good. Everyday! You have multiple choices to go left or to right. He showed us a visual, he said some people are sitting on this path. We have a map, and we're going in one direction but sometimes you take the wrong turn. Maybe you go left and you're supposed to go right. Has anybody ever done that on an actual map on your phone, and then it says rerouting.
You are not stuck where you are today. You are not a tree, you're not planted in one school. A tree can still move but can't move by itself. A machine can move the tree, but reroute yourself.
