"The secret of your future is in your daily routines. In other words, you can find clues as to why you are or are not successful and how you use the time available in your day. The bottom line is this, if you want more, you must become more". ~Terri Savelle Foy
Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. We're going to give you a thought for today as you are getting ready and prepared for Christmas. We've been going through "Dream It, Pin It, Live It" by Terri Savelle Foy since November. We talked about S.M.A.R.T. goals and setting goals, visions, dreams, and creating vision boards.
I want to give you a little insight into something that will help you as you create your vision board. I'm actually working on mine tonight, which I'm super excited about. Our girls have been working on their vision boards too.
We've been going through books for over a year and we have a book club on ketomomsecrets.com. There are so many things to get you started on this journey so that you're not waiting until next month. We also have the Keto Mom Facebook page, ketomomsecrets on Instagram, and Keto Mom on YouTube, and my podcast is called ketomomsecrets.
Alright! Here's what I have for you this morning. I also grabbed a leadershipology card and I wanted to read it to you. I have this fun little box full of cards that I got from Elevate Life Church in Frisco, Texas and it's called Leadershipologies. The pastor's name is pastor Keith Craft and he's really incredible.
GIVE
"Give all you got to everything that you've got. We have one life, one life to live, one life to live, one life to experience, one life to live, one life to express, and one life to get right".
"You are one of many but there's only one of you. Your life will not be measured by what you've received, but by what you've given to others. Whatever you have, give all you've got to it, and then you've got to attend them".
As you are ending this year and diving into the new year, I want you to really think that you have more to give. There are things in you that you haven't even shared yet. There are things that you want to go after, and gifts and talents you haven't used. There is more inside of you.
My dad said, if you're not dead, you're not done.
So we've gone through "Dream It, Pin It, Live It" by Terri Savelle Foy. We've brainstormed, made lists, and narrowed it down to 10 things that you want to accomplish in the next 12 to 18 months. We've written our S.M.A.R.T. goals and we're creating vision boards.
While we're waiting patiently for our dreams, let's take the actions needed to reach our goals. There might be difficult times, but stay optimistic. There might be days when you don't even know how your goals are going to happen, and you might get frustrated. But here's the secret to your future.
THE SECRET TO YOUR FUTURE
"The secret of your future is in your daily routines. In other words, you can find clues as to why you are or are not successful and how you use the time available in your day. The bottom line is this, if you want more, you must become more".
"If you allow too many distractions in your life to keep you from maximizing your productivity, you are responsible for the state of your life. If you have a laser, if you have a laser focus on a few things that matter, you will accomplish more".
You have to realize that you might have to say "No" to things that are good and to certain people, activities, and things. You have to have "Focus" this year.
The opportunity that presents itself might be good, but it might not be great. Have laser focus, say "No" to things, and save your best "Yes".
We often say "Yes" to a lot of things, and we love to let other people's needs make us feel like it's more important than yours. And sometimes you want to be a blessing, but if you keep saying "Yes" to everything, you might have to "No" to the things that you want to actually go after.
"You can find clues if you're going to have success or not by how you're spending your day".
I'm going to revisit something called my D.M.O.S. "Daily Method of Operations". It's the things that you do every single day.
How do you spend your time?
What are you doing while you're not at work?
What does your morning look like?
What does your routine look like?
If you follow somebody who is successful, whatever success means to you. We all have different ideas of what success looks like. You need to look at that person's routine. Ask what their DMOS are, or their daily method of operation. I bet you, they're very strategic with their time, focused, and they don't say "Yes" to everything.
My Morning Routine...
I thank the Lord for another day.
Get up in the morning.
Do all the bathroom things.
Shake up my ketones.
Get my Bible, or my books and work on my mindset.
Map out my day, and have conversations with my husband.
Business conversations.
Homeschool.
So if you're following somebody that has something you're going after or has success in life, ask for that person's DMOs. "The Miracle Morning" is super powerful. It talks about taking an hour or six minutes of your day to meditate, read, journal, pray, or just do things to get your mindset right.
Also, "I get to" go to the dentist because I cracked a tooth yesterday while eating lunch. Oftentimes I hear people say "I have to", but the way you speak will honestly determine the rest of your day, which determines your emotions, and how you react or respond to things.
Evaluate your day today and figure out where are you wasting your time. You don't have to be the person who says "yes" all the time.
Pay attention to your schedule, and find clues in other people that have the success that you want. Find out about their DMO, "Daily method of operation".
Your DMO is going to be the result of your actions in order to achieve your goals for the future. So I just want to say thank you for tuning in and I hope you guys have an incredible day and an incredible morning. We'll talk to you very very soon. Bye, everybody!
