Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. We're still going through "At Your Best" by Carey Nieuwhof, and we're almost done with it.
I like to go through books in the morning to help you with your mindset and to also help myself with my mindset. Because if I don't take time to just sit for a moment and breathe, I might not be able to take care of other people.
So this book is all about time management, priorities, and how you spend your energy throughout your day. If that's something that you need help with, then this book is for you.
I gave you some highlights throughout the chapters and we're almost done. But I just have a couple of things to share with you today. Time goes by so fast so try to enjoy every moment of it. I think sometimes we set goals and dreams, we do have good intentions. And yet time goes by so fast, before we know it, we come back and it's been another year.
And so I've been thinking about a new book to do, and do any of you do dream boards or vision boards? I think we should start dreaming, vision casting, and goal setting now. You can start doing what you want to do right now so that you can do better, set better goals, and clearer directives, and be more intentional. Start now, so when January comes, you're already running and not wasting all of January just trying to figure out what you want to do.
We did a book called "Dream It. Pin It. Live It", and it's all about dream boards, how to create dream boards, what it looks like, and the power of your words. It's a great book, and maybe we'll do this for the next book.
So with that, we are going to be wrapping up "At Your Best" by Carey Nieuwhof. It's about time management, which is very important. "Where your focus goes, your energy flows". And it could be the wrong focus and the wrong energy which takes away from what you actually need to be doing. This book is going to help you figure out what you're gifted at, and where you need to spend your time.
"People tend to be the greatest opportunity and the greatest obstacle".
In this chapter, he talked about the people that you spend time with and how often people want to give their intentions to you. All people want your time, so you really have to prioritize the people in your life. Who are the most important people who you're going to spend most of your time with and who gets to have your time?
"The people who want your time are rarely the people who should have your time. And the people who should have most of your time are primarily the ones that are rarely asking for it".
So you need to prioritize your people and where you're spending your time on, even for yourself. You end up like the top five people you spend your time with. And if you feel like your friends don't do that, nobody in your circle wants to vision cast. Nobody in your circle wants to be accountable for you and your fat loss.
I'm not saying you have to unfriend people, but let's find some other people, like mentors and accountability groups that actually want you to be better.

"People are hardwired for 3 to 5 close friendships, 12 to 15 friendships, and 150 personal relationships".
But in our world today, we think we can handle hundreds and thousands of relationships. But in reality, most people can't take more than 150 contacts, people, or relationships.
This chapter is giving you an awareness of who you're spending time with. Are you allowing people to come into your life and dictate your time? Which probably is taking time away from your family or your closest friends. There might be people that you want to spend time with but you can't, because you're helping all of the other people that don't really need your time.

Remember, it's not just listening to me or listening to others to the point of watching people online, reading books, and taking notes. The secret is to take action. I want you to take action, I want you to do it with me and not just listen to me.
Do not let other people run your life and your time. You want to own it, that is super important. If you have bigger dreams and goals, you've got to get them written down in front of you and understand how vision actually works.
