Hey everybody! Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie. Good morning, it's a beautiful day here in Minnesota. Where are you tuning in from? I am switching things up, we're going to go through a different book.

If you've been tuning in here, you know that we go through a book or work on mindset or something in the morning. To help you go throughout your day and get you focused. It's a brand new month, and we're going to dive into a new book. You don't have to have the book, I'm going to give you just a simple concept or a sentence or something to think about as you go throughout your day.

Recently, we've been going through this book, "The Power of One More" by Ed Mylett. And if you go to ketomomsecrets.com, you will also see under Book Club, we've been going through different books for over a year now to help you on your mindset journey. On this Keto Mom page, you will also have different recipes, keto tips, tricks, ideas, and anything to help you on your keto journey. I've been sharing stuff on here for over seven years, so there's no shortage of information.

I'm not going to finish "The Power of One More", and I don't think I've ever done that before. The last few chapters are all about leadership. I think it's a great book, but I'm changing things up. Because a majority of you want recipes, how to want to lose fat, and you all want to feel better.

And I just didn't feel those last chapters were pertaining to anything that most people are watching. So we're making a shift.

I was looking at my bookshelf and I picked up this book by Andy Andrews, it's called "The Seven Decisions". This is the book I'm going to be doing for this month. I read this book a long time ago, and I feel like it will really help. I feel like it just fits this page well. The book is about seven decisions. Number one, "The responsible decision, the buck stops here". That's the first chapter, we'll be starting tomorrow.

"I accept responsibility for my past. I am responsible for my success. I will not let my history control my destiny".

My hope is for this book to help you understand where you're at today, and where you want to go, mindset-wise, to hit your goals.

We'll be talking about...

  • Chapter 2: The Guided Decision, I will seek wisdom.

  • Chapter 3: A Person Of Action.

  • Chapter 4: I have a decisive heart.

  • Chapter 5: Today, I will choose to be happy.

  • Chapter 6: A compassionate decision, I will greet this day with a forgiving spirit.

  • Chapter 7: I will persist without exceptions.

I love this! I'm super excited. I remember going through this book a long time ago, and I just feel like it's where we need to go. I think it fits the page because it's going to help a lot of people be decisive and intentional. It will help you work on things that you might need to work on.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿?
A majority of people eat out of emotion because of their past. They eat out of emotion because they don't know how not to eat out of emotions or habits.

All of this has to do with whether it's your emotions, or things that you're holding on to from your past, the way you see yourself, and making decisions is so important. So that's why we're going through this book. I think it's going to really fit what most people here are going after in their life.

"Our tendency is to do something a few times. If it works, it gets reinforced and we continue to do it. If it doesn't work, we abandon it. With the law of effect, we tend to keep doing things that we are rewarded for doing.
And the opposite, however, is true. We tend to avoid what punishes us, gives us pain, or we feel like we're not accomplishing something".

He's going to dive into the "Power of Consistency". If you're working on your health, awesome. Keep going and stay focused. If you've been here for years, and you have not been truly focused, it's time to figure out what's working, what's not working, and what you need to switch. And sometimes, things that you're going after in life don't mean you need to make a major shift.

𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
It can be something so small, something so minuscule, like not going out to eat anymore but packing your lunch for work.

That would shift a lot if your goal is to get healthier, stronger, and lose some fat. Or cutting all sugary drinks, and drinking more water. That's one little shift that, depending on your goals, could help. One little shift is huge.

So I'm excited to take you through this book, "The seven Decisions". Tomorrow, we're going to talk about "The Buck Stops Here". You can just tune in here, my hope in the mornings is to give you some insight, to help you with your mindset. It might be something that you think you don't need because I know you all want Keto Recipes, how to cook things, or how to do things. You can go to ketomomsecrets.com, you can see so many different recipes there.

But what I feel people need is...

  • To believe in themselves

  • To believe they can do it

  • To have somebody cheer them on

  • To know that you can be your own cheerleader

  • To learn how to make decisions

  • To understand how your emotions control so much in your life

  • To realize that you are worth it and you are worthy

  • Understanding that mindset is important

To understand that if your mindset isn't on track, the likelihood of you hitting your actual fitness goals is probably unlikely. Because you'll self-sabotage yourself.

So I would challenge you today to take inventory of where you're at, what's working and what's not, and where you need to make a little bit of a shift. It's August 1st and it's a Monday. You might as well start something today or rededicate yourself back to your health goals.

Thank you for tuning in, I truly appreciate it. I'm always here to help. I hope you guys have an incredible morning and we'll talk to you soon. Bye, everybody!
