We're diving into "The Wealth Money Can't Buy" by Robin Sharma. Focusing on living with intention and kindness, we learn that true wealth is not measured by money but by the quality of our experiences, the wisdom we gain, and the positive impact we have on others' lives.
When we live with purpose, making conscious decisions and treating others with care, we build a legacy of love and growth
JOURNALING
How many of you actually write on your journal? It's one of those things that people want to do but is not done a lot.
6 Primary Reasons Why You Should Embrace The Daily Routine of Journaling.
1. Journaling promotes wise behavior. Vague thinking creates vague results. Writing in a notebook about your desires, your intentions and your commitments increases your clarity, and clarity is a DNA of mastery.
Ask yourself what must happen today in these next coming hours to be a day of my life well lived? Or what are three small wins I will accomplish today?
2. Journaling increases artistry, and captures peak ideas. A genius great idea not noted will rarely be remembered.
How often do you guys think of a great idea, a quote, a question, or insight, and then tell yourselves you'll remember it. You lay in bed thinking you will remember them tomorrow morning. But when you wake up, you know you thought of something great but you just don't remember what it was.
We come up with a great idea or a meaningful thought, convinced we’ll remember it later, only to find it completely gone the next day. Our minds are often busiest at night, and the ideas that surface can feel so clear, yet they slip away by morning. That's why keeping a notepad or using a notes app can be so helpful—jotting things down right when inspiration strikes can save those fleeting moments of insight!
3. Journaling encourages you to record the magical moments so that you get to live them again. What it actually is doing is training your brain on where you are winning, rather than upon the frustrations you are facing.
By writing down those magical moments, you're not only preserving them for later but also shifting your mindset to focus on the positive aspects of your life. It helps train your brain to celebrate the wins, no matter how small, rather than dwelling on frustrations or setbacks.
The happiest people are not the ones with the easiest circumstances, but the ones with the largest gratitude. Your journal is an excellent place to list the blessings in your life deliberately and regularly, so that the negativity bias of the human brain gets rewired for an unbeatable positivity.
When you make it a habit to reflect on what’s going right, it transforms your mindset and creates a foundation of gratitude. By consciously doing this, you shift your energy away from frustrations and train your brain to recognize more of the good in your life, fostering resilience, optimism, and an unbeatable positive outlook.
4. Journaling is a prayer on paper. What you focus on really does grow, and what you think about expands.
When you focus on something, it grows. The act of journaling channels that focus, making it more powerful. What you think about and dwell on expands, shaping your reality. By writing down your prayers, goals, and reflections, you’re planting seeds that will flourish over time.
5. Journaling can give you a place where you can process your pain. It's a safe place to write down frustrations, fears, things you're working through, to get them out and release them.
It allows you to express what’s weighing on your mind without judgment, helping you release those emotions. By putting your thoughts on paper, you create a sense of clarity and relief, transforming what feels overwhelming into something you can reflect on, understand, and ultimately work through. It's a healing practice that can help you find peace in difficult times.
6. Journaling allows you the gorgeous opportunity to record your colorful life, a life worth living. You are unique and your life matters.
It’s a way to acknowledge that your journey is unique and meaningful. By recording your thoughts, experiences, and growth, you honor the fact that your life matters. Your story is valuable, and journaling is a powerful tool to celebrate and reflect on that.
So start writing things down. It gets your perspectives in the right place. It's a place were you can write about the things you're hoping for, or things that you just need to get off your chest.
I will put this on top of my book, because I need to create habits. Consistently doing something eventually becomes natural. Journaling needs to be slid into my habits until it becomes natural.
Creating a journaling habit is a fantastic step toward personal growth and reflection. Over time, it will become second nature, giving you a space to capture insights, process emotions, and celebrate your progress. Consistency will make it feel natural, just like any positive habit.
