We're diving into "The Wealth Money Can't Buy" by Robin Sharma. This book is a thought-provoking exploration of how true wealth extends far beyond financial success. Sharma dives into the richness of experiences, character, and impact, offering insights on how to live a life of purpose, joy, and fulfillment.
"As I think, so I feel. As I feel, so I do. As I do, so I have" ~Joseph McClendon III.
This principle shows the power of intentional thinking. By mastering your thoughts, you can transform your emotions, inspire meaningful actions, and achieve the life you desire.
So if you want to create a change in any area of your life, you have to take action. Stop making excuses, shift the way you're thinking, and believe that you can do it.
Know Your Genes Are Not Your Destiny!
This is a powerful reminder that while genetics may influence certain aspects of your life, they do not dictate your future. This belief empowers you to take control of your choices, actions, and habits to shape your own path
Epigenetics
"There's been a lot of research done on common understanding around genes that you inherit from your parents. People believe that it determines your physical destiny. Nature versus nurture".
"Did you know that you need not be a victim to your genetics by installing healthier practices?"
You are not bound by your genetics, and adopting healthier practices can significantly influence your overall well-being. This concept is supported by the field of epigenetics, which demonstrates that environmental factors and lifestyle choices can affect how your genes are expressed.
You have the power to change some of the gene expression in your body to avoid what your parents or grandparents got.
More research is now being done on how installing healthier practices like working on your mindset, exercise, managing stress, walking in nature, eating and breathing properly, Intermittent fasting, consuming less alcohol, taking at least a day away from digital devices, can help change your overall wellbeing regardless of genetic factors.
"It's in your Genes so just accept it"
The power to change lies within each of us, and using "genes" as an excuse can limit that potential. While genetics may set the stage, our daily choices and habits determine how we perform on it.
We all have the power to change, regardless of the people in our lives that keep making "Genes" as an excuse. You can make better choices, own your morning, go for walks, and do not overconsume social media. Move your body, eat better, consume less alcohol, less vaping, get rid of all of that crap.
"Never give away your power to become the healthiest version of you and make an excuse around genetics that the earlier generations have told you"
You have to break the cycle, you are not your genetics. Focus on what you can do, educate yourself, and surround yourself with positivity.
Never let genetics or your family history define your future. Take what you learn and actually apply it! Learning is only half the journey and application is where transformation really happens.
It's not just learning that changes your life, you've got to put it into action. Write it down, get it in your mind and just do the action to get the work done. It's not just knowing what you know, it's doing what you know.
