We're diving into "The Wealth Money Can't Buy" by Robin Sharma. This book is a transformative guide that redefines the concept of wealth. It challenges the conventional notion that success is measured solely by financial gain, emphasizing instead the importance of purpose-driven living, mastering mindset, valuing relationships, and health as wealth.
I truly believe this book will help you in achieving your goals for fitness, better relationships, or even financial situation.
GET UP AND GET GOING!
"Few habits will help you as much as moving your body vigorously daily. If you're not exercising now, get up and get going".
"And if you're already exercising consistently, then turn on your enthusiasm. Life's too short not to get really fit. And as Mark Twain says, continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection".
Small, regular steps accumulate into significant achievements over time. Waiting for perfection often means no action at all. Striving for perfection can delay progress since perfection is unattainable.
Focus on progress, not an ideal that may never be reached.
Get your body moving in some way, shape or form. Whether it's going for a walk or doing something at home, standing up from your office desk, do some push ups, squats, or even stretch for a little bit.
Join a gym, go swimming, or do something to improve your health and mindset because health is wealth.
A billionaire in a hospital bed who can't physically get up because he's sick will say, "I wish I had more money". That person would probably say, "I wish I was healthy to get out of this bed so I can bless other people with my money".
Health is important. I think often times we put our perspective or focus on the wrong things. Health is often overlooked until something forces us to pay attention to it.
Investing time and energy into maintaining health now prevents bigger issues later.
Small habits like eating well, exercising, and managing stress pay off in the long run. Being healthy allows you to show up better for your family, work, and community.
Your energy and mindset can inspire others around you to value their health too.
Society often glorifies success, money, or achievements at the expense of health.
A shift in perspective reminds us that true wealth includes energy, vitality, and the ability to enjoy life’s blessings.
STORT TIME
I'm doing a blog series called "Who is she becoming", I'm putting them on my podcast. This series talks about us as a parent, it's super important to make sure our kids get really good grades. But are we also putting in the same amount of effort, encouragement, and intentional conversation around their characters?
It's the same concept with "Money", many people believe money is the ultimate problem-solver, but without good health, money loses its value
I'm going to say, as a parent, if you're constantly hounding your kids on their grades, but you're not talking to them about their character, they're going to miss it. If they treat people terribly, then grades don't matter but their character matters. And so that's what I talk about in "Who Is She Becoming"...
Grades might open doors, but character determines how someone walks through them
No matter how intelligent or accomplished someone is, treating others poorly damages trust and connection.
Kindness, empathy, and integrity build meaningful relationships. True success involves more than just personal gain; it’s about contributing to the world and lifting others up.
I'm excited to go through this book with all of you. Thank you for tuning in! You can visit us at ketomomsecrets.com, look for book club or how to get started. Have a wonderful day and I'll talk to you soon.
