We're diving into "The Wealth Money Can't Buy" by Robin Sharma. We will be exploring the practical insights that can help transform your life by focusing on mastering your thoughts, building better habits, cultivating kindness, and living with purpose.
The true wealth, as this book teaches, is about becoming the best version of yourself and creating a life full of joy, compassion, and positive impact.
"Remember That Small Steps Make Giant Gains".
"Small, daily, seemingly insignificant improvements, when done consistently over time, leads to stunning results. Those consistent and small, micro wins that, when done daily, evolved into a tsunami of victories".
Just like how the pyramids were built one block at a time, success, growth, and transformation in our lives come from small, consistent steps. It's about making those daily decisions that, over time, lead to something truly extraordinary.
"The attention needs to be on the process, not the end goal"
The same applies to anything you’re working towards, whether it's getting healthier, improving relationships, or growing spiritually. By focusing on the small steps, daily actions, and consistent effort, you will see the results accumulate over time, just like the pyramids.
"So many of us want our dreams done instantly. Too many of us have forgotten the power of patience, the magic of steadfastness and the wonder of tiny triumphs made daily on the project that most inspires us. Whether it's a health program, a love ambition, financial objectives, or a spiritual affair. As you craft each day, you create your life".
"Consistency truly is the mother of mastery, and the little things you do daily are so much more important than the big thing that you do annually"
STORY TIME "MINDSET"
There are days when it's just not fun. Yesterday, I was laying in bed, tired and I felt cranky all day. My brain kept telling me to just lay down, but I knew I had to fight the feeling of defeat and being tired all day. My body wanted to fight me and I felt defeated in my mind. I just wanted to sit down, eat a whole bunch of chocolate and watch movies.
I did not do any of those things because I knew I needed to choose joy. So when I felt cranky and tired, I got up and I did some laundry, dusted, and mopped the floors. Finalized our homeschool, cold plunged, and I went to the gym.
I felt mentally tired but I needed to fight through it because by doing all those things, I was one step closer to my goal.
"The depth of your commitment to the journey of making small steps is the direction of your brightest ideals. The completion of the project is just the icing on the cake. Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant".
That's the hardest thing because most of us just want the instant results. We want to know that we're moving forward. We want to see some hope that it's working.
The essence of real progress lies in the daily steps, the seeds we plant consistently, not just in the end result. The journey itself becomes the true reward, shaping us into the person we're meant to be.
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, by the seeds that you plant. Growth is often invisible, like seeds that are germinating in the ground. Stay focused, dedicated, patient and aware that your tiny daily triumphs will eventually compound into remarkable, big victories over the passage of time".
I want to lose weight, how long will that take?
It depends on how much weight you have to lose, and if you're truly committed to putting in the work.
Losing weight depends on both the amount of weight you want to lose and your commitment to making consistent, healthy changes. It’s not just about quick results but about small, sustainable steps, just like laying those "10 blocks" each day. If you're truly committed to eating healthier, moving your body regularly, and working on your mindset, you’ll begin to see progress, and more importantly, feel better.
The key is persistence and patience! It’s less about how fast you can lose the weight, and more about how you can maintain the lifestyle for lasting results.
