The Wealth Money Can't Buy

We're diving into "The Wealth Money Can't Buy" by Robin Sharma, which is a book that has so many valuable insights about building a rich life beyond material wealth.

The Human Who Reads The Most Wins!

I agree, you should be collecting books because books are full of wisdom, lessons learned, and perspectives that can guide us in different areas of life. They’re like a guide to growth, helping us avoid mistakes and take smarter paths.

Books are wisdom given to you to learn from so you go further and faster in life.

"As soon as you read a book and you put it down, the hand that eventually puts the book down is fundamentally a different hand".

That's because when you read something or learn something new, that should help elevate your thinking and help you become a become a better version of you.

Every new piece of knowledge or wisdom should shift your mindset, helping you grow into a more refined version of yourself. It’s about continuous improvement, learning from what you read, and applying it to your life in meaningful ways.

"Cut back on buying things, eating less and reading more books. We eat three times a day to be fed. We should be reading three times a day to be wise".

Cutting back on material things and focusing on feeding your mind aligns with the philosophy of living beyond just physical needs. Reading three times a day, like meals for the mind, is a powerful way to cultivate wisdom and growth. Just like our bodies, our brain needs fuel too. The fuel that you put into your brain can be wisdom from other people.

Just as our bodies thrive on nutritious food, our brains flourish with knowledge and insight.

The wisdom we absorb from others can help shape our thoughts, decisions, and ultimately, our lives. It’s amazing how a single idea from a book can spark a change in perspective or behavior.

"Reading daily grows your knowledge base and allows you to transcend hard situations, make fewer mistakes and predict the future. Reading makes you into someone who thinks for themselves"

Reading indeed encourages independent thinking and allows us to form our own opinions and ideas. It broadens our horizons and exposes us to diverse perspectives, which helps us develop critical thinking skills.

This is very powerful! How much is it worth for you to think for yourself and not have to depend on somebody else all the time? It's powerful to make your own decisions based on wisdom you've learned from other people.

What's so important is when you read a book you have to finish it. People start but don't finish, and so you have to debrief what you read. Debriefing what you read helps solidify that understanding and encourages deeper reflection on how you can apply those lessons. It can also spark conversations with others, enhancing the learning experience.

You can write what you've learned and your plans on how to apply those things in your life. Writing down your insights and plans helps reinforce what you’ve learned and makes it easier to track your growth over time. It can also serve as a powerful reflection tool, allowing you to revisit your thoughts and see how far you’ve come.

How often do you listen to a podcast, read a book, go to a conference, or listen to the radio, where you felt really good, you want to apply those things into your life, but you forgot it.

"Learn something, Do it, and then you Teach it"

Learning, doing, and then teaching reinforces knowledge and allows you to internalize lessons more deeply. It also benefits others, as sharing what you’ve learned can inspire and help them grow. I understood the concept of debriefing or writing things down deeply because I apply it to my life

"Ideation without execution becomes delusion".

This emphasizes the importance of not just having ideas but also taking action to bring them to life. Execution is where the real learning and growth happen.

"Humans who read the most win"

I would actually agree with that, because I have learned so much from other people's journeys and stories. Learning from others’ experiences can provide invaluable insights and shortcuts to understanding. Their journeys can teach us about resilience, creativity, and the various paths we can take in our own lives.
