Winning and Losing in Life (Your Divine Fingerprint by Pastor Keith Craft)

"In our politically correct world, it seems wrong to call anybody a loser because we might make them feel bad. But the reality is, there are winners in life and there are losers in life". ~Keith Craft

We're working on your mindset this morning. How did you start off your morning? Did you start off your morning with an "I get to" attitude or an "I have to" attitude? If you have that awareness, it could either help you through the rest of your day or bring negativity.

I get to go to work.

I get to pack my lunch.

I get to go to the gym.

I get to go work with some amazing people.

I get to be an encouragement to those around me.

VERSUS

I have to get up.

I have to go to the gym.

I have to pack my lunch.

Saying "Get to" or "Have to" is essential because your words are powerful. What you do with your mindset in the morning is powerful.

All right! We're diving into "Your Divine Fingerprint" by Pastor Keith Craft. We're almost done with this book, you can also go to ketomomsecrets.com, click on recipes, or Book club.

Your divine fingerprint is about what makes you, you, the greatness you have inside of you, your gifts and talents, and what are you not doing that you're called to do.

It's all about figuring out what your 1% factor is.

What makes you, you? So yesterday we talked about how to win in life and the 1st key tip is the word "Practice". Today we're going to continue talking about the 2nd key tip to winning in life.

KNOWING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WINNERS & LOSERS.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿?
𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿?

"In our politically correct world, it seems wrong to call anybody a loser because we might make them feel bad. But the reality is, there are winners in life and there are losers in life".

Key number two is you just need to know the difference between winning and losing. Winning and losing are everyday choices. The difference between winning and losing has a lot to do with your mindset...

Winners learn from their mistakes.

Losers repeat the same mistakes.

Winners look for ways to grow.

Losers see no need to grow.

Winners look for ways to grow.

Losers see no need to grow.

Winners fail and find a better way.

Losers fail and quit.

Winners are committed to the success of others. Losers are out for themselves.

Winners find a way to win.

Losers find a way to lose or just make excuses.

"Winning is not a sometimes thing, it's an all-the-time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit, unfortunately, and so is losing".

It all starts with your mind, so if you get up in the morning and have a "Winner's mindset" you will win...

  • I'm going to dominate my day.

  • Today is going to be great.

  • I'm going to encourage those around me.

  • I'm going to be the best version of myself.

  • I'm going to do my best at my job.

  • I'm going to be the best mom that I can be.

  • I'm going to choose my attitude.

  • I'm going to take care of my health.

That's a winning mindset. A losing mindset is saying "I have to", or "I don't want to"...

I'm not going to go to the gym today.

I'm going to eat fast food because I'm sad and angry.

I just want to quit because my day didn't go how I wanted it to go.

BE AN ENERGY PRODUCER

Key number three just says "Be an energy producer". And that starts again in your mindset.

"Winning life requires that you be an energy producer, rather than an energy demander".

Energy producers add value wherever they go.

Energy demanders require that they be valued wherever they go.

Energy Producers are positive about people.

Energy, demanders are negative about people.

Be that person that when others see you coming, they can't wait to talk to you because you're so encouraging and they love your outlook in life.

Why? Because encouraging others will encourage you as well. It's going to help you choose better, be more mindful, and ultimately hit your goals. Mindset is so important and I honestly believe it's one of the key factors for you to hit your goals or not.

Characteristics of an Energy Producer:

  • Generous

  • Merciful

  • Grateful

  • Forgiving

  • Apathetic

  • Enthusiastic

  • Positive

If somebody were to say five words that would describe you, what do you think they would be? If you don't think it'd be very good, you can change it. Start by giving people a smile, holding your tongue, or listening more than you're speaking. Starting with your words, like saying "I get to" instead of "I have to"...

You're a leader because you're leading yourself.

You get to choose every single day...

Have a positive attitude or a negative attitude.

Make excuses or take action.

Read a book, or listen to the garbage news station.

It's up to you! You're filling your mind with something, it just depends if it's actually going to give you life or take it from you.

BE ALL IN

"Whatever you are in, deserves you're all in".

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝘀 "𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻".

If you're a friend, be all in.

If you're in a job, be all in.

If you're in a church, be all in.

Be a better you.

Be the best version of yourself.

Be an energy producer.

Be the person that you want to be around.

Be the person that speaks life over people.

"Look at your life and circumstances as a winning opportunity, and not losing".

Practice those habits over and over again. That's how you're going to win in life. There are a lot of other keys to it, but in general, that's what this chapter is about. So here's what I want you to understand, mindset is important, whether it's this book or something else that you're starting your morning with.

If you find your days in a spiral of negativity, you don't like the outcome of your days, you're not reaching your goals. I would challenge you to just pay attention to how you start your mornings, the people around you, and what you're allowing into your mind.

If you're doing incredible, congratulations. I would encourage you to teach other people around you. Share it, and add value wherever you go. If there are things that you're learning from, like quotes, phrases, and podcasts, share them with other people so that you can give them the same thing that you've been learning.
