"It's a lifetime commitment to lead your mind, your attitude, your being and your body. You're guarding your heart, governing your mind, and guiding your body to do what you want it to do". ~ Keith Craft
Welcome to the Keto Mom page, my name is Stephanie Mielke. We're diving into our divine fingerprint if you've been tuning in at all this year. We've started a new book, and we go through the book every single morning to help you with your mindset.
We're going to talk about leadership. If you're in this chapter, the most important person you will ever lead is... Let's just say that you don't count yourself as a leader, you don't see yourself as a leader.
The point is that you can listen to something in the morning to get your mindset on point and on track to dominate your day.
Do you see yourself as a leader?
If you actually don't see me as a leader right now, it's totally fine. Nobody's going to judge you either way. It'll be interesting to see what people think of this chapter because a lot of this book is about you. Your divine fingerprint, your greatness, what do you have to offer to the world, your values, your 1% factor that affects people around you.
What are your gifts and your talents?
YOUR LEADERSHIP (Chapter 6)
The most important person that you should be leading is yourself. If you can't lead yourself, why would others follow you? That would even include your kids or your spouse.
What does leadership truly mean?
"Your 1% factor, your greatness. Leadership, in general always starts or should start with a way of thinking first. That determines your way of being, that becomes the way of you doing".
It really starts with your thinking. Leadership starts in your mind. In general, it's going to be you leading yourself.
Do you get up in the morning?
Do you lead your family by example by having a positive attitude?
Are you reading?
Are you working on your mindset?
Are you leading your children by example by taking care of your health?
You don't have to bark at people all the time. We have teenagers in our home. "More is caught than taught"... You don't have to bark at your children. You don't have to point out all of the things they are doing wrong. But if you're leading yourself as a parent, your children will see that.
If you're taking care of your health, don't you think they'd want to take care of their health?
If you're working on moving your body and going to the gym, being mindful about reading, watching your words, and you're openly communicating with your spouse or your children, don't you think it would bring more awareness to them?
As you lead yourself, you're going to lead others.
"Your attitude is the hinge, that the door of your destiny swings on. Your attitude is yours. Your attitude, your behavior, and your actions. It all starts with your thinking, and that is a part of leadership, it's leading you".
"It's a lifetime commitment to lead your mind, your attitude, your being, and your body, you're doing every day. It's guarding your heart, governing your mind, and guiding your body to do what you want it to do".
As you're figuring out your divine fingerprint, the things that you're called to do are your greatness, your 1% factor, the things that you have inside of you that the world needs part of is part of it is you leading. Working on your mindset, taking action on the things you know you need to do.
"Leadership is a way of thinking".
There's leadership, and there's normalship.
Leadership is living with a transcendent cause. Normalship is live with what is in it for me. Leadership embraces resistance.
Normalship resist resistance.
Leadership refuses to be offended.
Normalship exercises your right to be offended.
You might have said in the beginning, "I'm not a leader". Maybe in your mind, a leader is somebody that governs you, a boss, or somebody telling you what to do. But this is different. This is you, leading yourself, your mindset, your thinking, and your actions to places that you want to go. Nothing in this list of leadership says somebody's governing over you. It's a character trait. It's a way that you handle situations.
"Leadership is leading yourself first. Normal ship is when you want others to change first".
These things have nothing to do with somebody governing you, or somebody else leading you. It's all about leading yourself, your character, and your core values.
This book is intended for you to figure out, you. This is not to give you a list of how to hit your health goals or how to lose fat. But it's giving you an understanding that you need to lead yourself in the right thinking, right doing, and becoming the best version of yourself.
You can hit your goals and lead and encourage others to do the same.
CHANGE YOURSELF FIRST
When I was young and free, and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser I discovered that the world would not change. So I shortened my sight somewhat and decided to change only my country, but it seemed impossible. As I grew into my twilight year, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family and those closest to me.
But also they would have none of it. And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realized that if I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragement, I then would have been able to better my country. And then who knows, I may have even changed the world.
This person was lying on their deathbed, realizing, "I tried to change everybody else around me. I looked at impossible situations, and yet, I realize I should have been working on my leadership, my mindset, and leading by example. So that I can better the world around me".
I'm going to say this to all parents because I think it's super important. You're diving into getting healthy, fat loss, and just being the best version of yourself. Take your family along with you and communicate what you're doing.
Stop saying things like, "Mom and dad are on a diet", or "I'm fat". Stop using those words around your kids, because that will get into your children's minds...
Mom and dad are eating that because they're on a diet. I can't eat that food.
Mom thinks she's fat, she eats a salad. I don't need to eat a salad.
The words that come out of you need to inspire others to join you, not to only think about it as a fat loss or diet. Leadership in yourself could be your finances, relationships, or spiritual growth. But in general, the words that are coming out of your mouth are leadership. It's the things that people are going to follow you or not follow you. They're going to watch you and be inspired to join you.
If you can't lead yourself, is it possible to lead others?
Leadership is not about a particular position. It's not about somebody governing over you or working down rules. Leadership is about a choice, your ability to choose to lead yourself, to be the best you that you can be at all times.
Leadership is a choice to think, be, and do to the best of your ability at all times.
My challenge to you is, if you didn't think you were a leader today, hopefully, you can see yourself as a leader or have an awareness that you actually need to lead yourself.
I'm actually so proud of myself, I am leading myself this year. I've decided this year and started this month of working on my mindset, going to the gym, and working on the gifts and talents I have to offer. It's super important because as you do that, it's going to inspire others around you.
You are a leader!
You get to lead yourself or you don't, but the first person that you're going to lead is yourself. It's super important. All right! At any point in time, you can go to ketomomsecrets.com, click on Book Club, or do anything that you're looking for. Please send me a message, I'm here to help.
